Quotes
“Nobody can stand truth if it is told to him. Truth can be tolerated only if you discover it yourself because then the pride of discovery makes the truth palatable.” Fritz Perls
Managers should stop asking for feedback from employees about how they could improve as managers. If you want to know how another human being feels about you, ask them. Individually, but not in a survey. Ask out of your own interest and desire to learn, not for the sake of your employees. And stop institutionalizing it with 360- degreefeedback surveys. If we decide to view employees as free and accountable, then we stop soliciting from them what they are free to express any moment they choose. Freedom and accountability call for the end of fixing each other. - Peter Block
In complex, uncertain, ambiguous environments, adaptation is significantly more important than efficiency. Efficient practices are based on assumptions of predictability and control - Jim Highsmith
